Heretic + Hexen
Classic fantasy FPS games with modern larger menu text, high contrast, reduced screen flash, lighting/map options, remapping, and multiplayer chat narration.
Short verdict
Low-vision players who enjoy fast retro FPS games and can use visual navigation with larger text, extra lighting, clearer maps, and reduced intense effects. Blind players should not treat this as a no-sight game.

Accessibility
- First launch offers an accessibility menu; choosing customization sets several options to the most accessible defaults.
- High-contrast menu text and a modern, larger typeface can make menus easier to read.
- Screen flash can be reduced, strong red textures can be toned down, and some projectiles can be made transparent.
- Extra lighting, brightness, field of view, view bobbing, and automap line/marker size can be adjusted.
- Mouse/keyboard and controller controls can be remapped; vertical look can be disabled so vertical aiming is handled automatically.
- PlayStation Store lists 3D audio, mono audio, control reminders, skippable puzzles, and multiplayer chat narration/transcription.
Known limitations
- I did not find confirmed screen reader support for menus, map, inventory, or gameplay. Documented text-to-speech is for multiplayer chat, not general menu or gameplay narration.
- These are still fast, visual first-person shooters with maze maps, enemies, aiming, traps, and resources that normally require sight.
- 3D audio and sound effects may help orientation, but I found no confirmed audio-based navigation or blind completion.
- The Nintendo store does not confirm the same detailed accessibility features as the PlayStation page and Bethesda guide.
- Norwegian text, Norwegian voice, and Norwegian narration are not confirmed.
