Accessibility
- The developer page describes the game as fully playable without sight: all gameplay information is conveyed through pitch and rhythm.
- The hidden critter is on one of eleven positions; the ticking beep becomes faster and higher when the listening cursor is closer to the target.
- Controls are keyboard-based: Left/Right Arrow moves the cursor, Space tries to catch, Enter restarts, H or question mark repeats instructions, and R repeats the last message.
- The developer states that the game has self-voicing narration and ARIA live-region support for screen-reader users.
- The game does not require stereo panning, so it should be less dependent on headphones than many directional audio games.
Known limitations
- I found no independent blind-player test or community report yet; the verdict is based on the developer page, jam context, and inspection of the public Godot web package.
- The game runs as Godot/HTML5 inside an itch.io canvas and requires WebGL2. Browsers or screen-reader setups that cannot use WebGL2 or give the frame keyboard focus may block play completely.
- On itch.io, the game frame must have keyboard focus before the Arrow keys, Space, and Enter respond.
- ARIA live-region and self-voicing support are stated by the developer, but I did not find a separate screen-reader test confirming every message.
- Norwegian language support is not confirmed.
