Impulse Response launches free on Steam as an audio game in the dark

In short
Impulse Response is now available for free on Steam. Developer RubyRPG describes it as a first-person audio game with zero visuals, designed for blind and low-vision players. You play Engineer Cadence Quinn, who wakes from cryo sleep on a spaceship with alarms sounding, and use audio pulses, reverb, and other sound cues to move around, solve puzzles, and uncover what happened.
The Steam page lists a 1–2 hour playtime and says headphones are required for the spatial audio. Victor Dima also published an accessibility review on 25 June, describing the game as a strong free audio experience with good acting, spatial sound, and clever puzzles.
