Moving Island releases an audio-led farming demo for blind players

In short

Moving Island is a new, short farming demo for Windows. The developer describes audio as the primary information source and provides keyboard commands for reading farm tiles, money, and items.

The farm uses a grid controlled with the Arrow keys or WASD. Players can till and water soil, plant and harvest crops, grow flowers, manage bees, and sell their produce. Number keys select tools and goods.

Several commands provide information without requiring players to read the screen visually. Q reads the contents of the current tile, E announces available money, while R and T read the selected item’s description and instructions. More detailed tutorials are available from the menu.

This is an early proof-of-concept, not a finished game. The developer calls the demo fully blind accessible, but there is no independent blind-player test of the menus, every farming action, or saving yet. The game page also notes a bug that can use up an item one unit too early.
