Word Tack 1.1 makes its VoiceOver overview clearer, but moving tiles requires dragging

In short

Word Tack 1.1 now announces solved rows, hints, and the position of each word tile with VoiceOver. The free word game has no timers, but words still have to be moved by dragging and dropping.

Each board has eight hidden groups of five words. Players move words between rows until a complete group is together. There is no penalty for placing a word incorrectly, while two kinds of hint can link words or reveal a group name.

The 11 October update adds levels 101 through 120. VoiceOver now reports when a row is solved, reads both kinds of hint, and can give positions such as “row 3, card 2.” The position details can be disabled in settings.

An AppleVis hands-on listing rates every element as readable and clearly labelled. Its comments also identify a significant control barrier: tiles must be moved with a double tap, hold, and drag. Several players want double-tap or rotor actions as an alternative, while one found that VoiceOver retained an old position after a move. No alternative control is currently available.

Word Tack is free, with no advertising, in-app purchases, or account, and it works offline. It requires iOS or iPadOS 17 and has English text only. The App Store description documents the VoiceOver behavior, although Apple’s separate Accessibility field remains empty.
