Alembic
Screen-reader-first browser puzzle where every action is a button, changes are announced, and play avoids drag-and-drop, timers, and visual puzzles.
Short verdict
Blind players who want a free, relaxed text-based discovery game in the browser. Best documented with NVDA and JAWS/Chrome; VoiceOver users should test the alpha themselves.

Accessibility
- All elements and actions are standard buttons that can be activated by keyboard or screen reader.
- The game uses ARIA live/status regions for the cauldron, goals, search, and new discoveries.
- Linear page with headings, goals, catalog, search, and hints; no spatial grid, drag-and-drop, timers, or visual-only information is required to play.
- The developer reports NVDA testing, GitHub describes support for NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and Orca, and an AppleVis user reports successful play with JAWS and Chrome.
- Progress saves locally in the browser, and reset requires two confirmations.
Known limitations
- The game is in alpha. Content and interface may change, and optional sound is only planned, not present in the checked sources.
- I did not find independent confirmed VoiceOver or mobile-browser testing yet; the developer is still asking for VoiceOver feedback on AppleVis.
- Saving is local to the same browser. Private browsing, clearing site data, or switching devices can remove or hide progress.
- No confirmed Norwegian text, controller support, or dedicated shortcuts beyond normal browser/screen-reader navigation.
