Official site: Balloon Smacker
Accessibility
- The game is built around audio cues: the cue sound plays when the balloon is safe to smack.
- A hidden-balloon mode lets the balloons be invisible, so play can rely on sound/timing instead of sight.
- The code uses browser Speech Synthesis to read long instructions, shown/hidden balloon choices, results, and high scores.
- Keyboard controls: choose your own smack key, Space to confirm/start, and Space plus Arrow key for quit/restart.
- Single-player and local two-player modes are described on the itch.io page.
Known limitations
- The developer says the game does not support screen readers; accessibility comes from audio cues, keyboard control, and browser speech.
- The itch.io page says you must left-click the game area to enable keyboard input and fullscreen. This may require help or a known mouse/browser routine the first time.
- Speech and audio depend on the browser's Web Speech/audio support and may vary by browser and operating system.
- I did not find independent community testing yet; this rating is based on itch.io documentation and inspection of the published HTML5 build.
- Norwegian language support is not confirmed.
