Black Flag Resynced tested with very low vision

In short

After about 30 hours with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Game Accessibility Nexus rates its low-vision accessibility 9 out of 10. The review is written by a player with very low vision and provides practical answers that were not available in Ubisoft’s pre-release feature list.

According to the review, screen narration covers menus, the map, shops, inventory, tutorials, notifications, and many actions during play. It can also announce activities, objectives, and distance when the camera points toward them. An audio glossary lets players learn the cues, while optional helper sounds cover actions such as climbing, collisions, aiming, docking, and interactions.

Pathfinder draws a route to objectives, and the ship can follow that route automatically. The reviewer still describes naval combat as the largest barrier: aiming at ships and fort towers lacks both aim assist and a clear enough visual confirmation. Some collectibles also move too quickly, and narration can prioritize repeated control reminders at inconvenient moments.

This is a detailed test by a player with very low vision, not confirmation that every combat and navigation sequence works without sight. Read the full low-vision review at Game Accessibility Nexus before buying. Blind Gaming also has an earlier overview of Ubisoft’s official accessibility options.
