Bellball uses VoiceOver and directional audio for football duels

In short

Bellball: Audio Penalty Duel is out for iPhone and iPad. It uses VoiceOver, Direct Touch, and distinct sounds for left, centre, and right while saving and shooting.

In defence, players must interpret the ball’s direction and rhythm before the attempt times out. Attacking starts with a downward swipe, followed by left, up, or right to select a corner. Saves, goals, misses, and shots against the post have different sounds, while commentary and stadium audio have separate volume controls.

Three defensive layouts are available: three vertical touch zones, three horizontal zones, or swipes in the ball’s direction. A spoken tutorial, free practice, and a pitch study mode teach the areas. The developer says VoiceOver uses Direct Touch during matches, allowing taps and swipes to reach the game directly.

Career mode includes fictional clubs from leagues in 36 countries, cups, 25 levels, and statistics. Friendly matches, a 32-team tournament, and Game Center matches are also available. The pace rises at higher levels. The App Store and developer describe the game as playable without sight, but an independent complete playthrough has not yet been published.

The download is free, with no advertising or subscription. Free play has a daily match limit and includes the first half of each career season. A seven-day trial ends without an automatic charge, while the complete game and extra audio are one-time purchases. Accessibility features remain free. The app requires iOS or iPadOS 18 and has an interface in 16 languages.
