Boat Hunter 1.1 fixes VoiceOver scrolling and braille controls

In short

Boat Hunter 1.1 fixes VoiceOver problems on vertically scrolling screens on some devices. The update also improves control through braille displays that have keyboards.

Players control an autonomous warship across missions in the North Atlantic. A tactical map is used to choose a heading, interpret radio signals, and distinguish allies from enemies. Combat includes a cannon, torpedoes, repairs, and smoke screens, while money earned between missions can upgrade the ship.

The App Store description says the game can be played visually or through sound and VoiceOver. A three-mission tutorial covers navigation, aiming, and survival. The manual and sound guide let players hear every signal before entering combat, and there are three difficulty levels.

Version 1.1 was published on 20 October. Its release note does not identify the affected screens or braille commands, so anyone who encountered a specific bug will need to try the update to see whether it is resolved. The developer has also published a video demonstration of the tutorial.

Boat Hunter costs NOK 39 in the Norwegian App Store, requires iOS or iPadOS 18, and has English and Spanish text. The developer lists VoiceOver and Zoom support, although Apple’s separate Accessibility field is currently empty.
