Crumbcade launches with VoiceOver and stereo board audio

In short

Crumbcade is now available free for iPhone. The match-three game works with VoiceOver, and blind and sighted players receive the same boards, challenges, and duels.

Pieces can be swapped in eight directions, including diagonally. With VoiceOver, players can hear what surrounds the selected piece and choose how much detail speech provides. Headphones place board sounds in stereo, making it possible to hear the column where a match occurred.

The launch version includes regular levels, daily challenges in three difficulty settings, and duels where two players use one shared board. Optional purchases apply only to solo play and cannot provide an advantage in a duel.

Update 1.0.1 followed shortly after launch. Its release notes say VoiceOver no longer skips rows when swiping from level 5 onward, while touch exploration now lands on the correct square across regular, daily, practice, and duel boards. Speech can also report what certain special pieces matched and where a new special landed.

Crumbcade requires iOS 18 or later and has English text. It is available from the Norwegian App Store, although Apple’s separate accessibility-features field has not yet been completed. The VoiceOver information comes from the game description, release notes, and the developer’s launch post.
