NHL 27 opens with narrated settings and larger puck options

In short
EA Sports NHL 27 narrates its settings from the first screen and includes narration in the accessibility menu. The puck, puck highlight, and player indicators can be made larger.
On first launch, a narrated screen lets players choose a control scheme and difficulty, with a direct route to the also-narrated accessibility menu. Menu narration can later be switched on or off under audio settings. EA says its documentation covers the US English console version.
For low-vision players, the puck itself has three size settings. A separate highlight around the puck has four sizes, while player indicators can be small, medium, or large. Most menus also use a new font, and brightness and contrast have separate controls.
Narration also reads predefined quick-chat messages in online matches. Text to speech and speech to text for chat are available on both console platforms, but they must be enabled at system level on Xbox and in the game menu on PlayStation.
The published overview does not describe audio cues for locating the puck, maintaining position, or navigating the ice without sight. Menu narration alone therefore does not establish that matches can be played without sight. NHL 27 launches on 11 September.
