Accessibility
- The official vision preset is built for blind and low-vision players and enables text-to-speech, high contrast, large HUD, lock-on aim, navigation and traversal assistance, audio cues, ledge guard, enhanced listen mode, skip puzzle, and combat assists.
- Text-to-speech reads menus, tutorials, and many in-game messages.
- Audio cues and an audio-cue glossary help with navigation, combat, stealth, and interaction.
- Remastered adds cinematic audio descriptions and Speech to Vibrations on PS5.
- Controls can be remapped, and repeated button presses can be changed to hold or toggle actions.
Known limitations
- This is still dark, violent real-time action with stealth, combat, and stressful situations.
- If speech does not start on first launch, Can I Play That describes an original-release workaround: press D-pad down once, then D-pad right to enable text-to-speech before choosing language and the vision preset.
- Audio descriptions in Remastered cover cinematics and may not cover every in-engine moment or free gameplay.
- Norwegian screen reader, Norwegian voice, and Norwegian audio descriptions are not confirmed.
- The PC version is officially available, but the strongest blind-accessibility sources are PlayStation-based. Test the PC version directly if PC is important to you.
