The Witcher 3 remaster adds larger loot text and automatic collection

In short

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered makes loot notices larger and keeps them on screen longer. Automatic collection, shorter menu paths, and a new accessibility preset are designed to reduce reading and button presses.

CD Projekt Red showed the changes in two gamescom streams. Collected loot now enters a queue so each notice gets time on screen, while icons can make the contents quicker to distinguish. Players can also gather everything nearby at once, automatically collect loot from defeated enemies, and pick up items while riding.

The map, quest journal, and objectives are more closely connected, and the game can remember the last open menu location. Notifications are combined into fewer messages. During combat, the camera keeps a mild focus on enemies, while tutorials are separated to avoid presenting many instructions in quick succession.

The Bard’s Ballad preset turns on several options intended to lower cognitive load, including automatic oil application, unlimited breath and durability, automatic loot, and adjustable health regeneration. The full accessibility menu has not yet been shown. Menu narration and non-visual navigation are unconfirmed, and key-binding changes were still being finalized during the presentation.
